Fontaines D.C. @ Pryzm, Kingston

It’s rare to see a group balance political conviction, raw emotion, and sheer musical heft so effortlessly. And rarer still to see it in a space so small
Fontaines DC‘s sold-out show at Kingston’s Pryzm felt like a moment suspended in time, a rare opportunity to witness a band on the verge of stadium-level stardom in a venue so intimate. Only days before, the Dubliners had headlined Reading and Leeds, and in the same month they’ve announced a headline gig at the 45,000-capacity Finsbury Park, making tonight’s intimate 1,000-capacity Kingston show feel almost inconceivable. Given the trajectory they’re on, it’s hard to imagine that we’ll get to see them in a venue so small again.
