Born in the grassroots of London’s indie scene, Flat Party are quickly establishing themselves as the band to watch. Equal parts Blur and Bowie, the band has grown from a lockdown duo formed in 2021 to a formidable six-piece art-rock collective. Their raucous, sold-out gig at Windmill Brixton – a sacred launchpad for emerging talent – cemented their status as a live act to be reckoned with, whilst tour dates alongside English Teacher and Courting have only added to their momentum. Now, with a headline UK tour on the horizon, Flat Party are ready to take the next step. On the release day of their second EP, we sat down with vocalist Jack Lawther, bassist Nic Morris, and guitarist Dylan Tarayan-Bibbs for the band’s first-ever spoken interview.
